Access Roblox's generative AI capabilities for content creation and translation. These APIs enable you to [translate in-game text](#Cloud_TranslateText) between supported languages and [generate speech audio assets](#Cloud_GenerateSpeechAsset) from text for NPC dialogue or narration.

Represents metadata about the long-running operation corresponding to a
GenerateSpeechAsset request.

This is the type of the `Operation.metadata` field in the response to
`GetOperation` requests for GenerateSpeechAsset operations.

Specifies the text from which to generate speech and the voice style.

Information about the style of generated speech.

An ID corresponding to the voice type specified. A mapping of voice type
to
ID number is available in the documentation.

Contains a generated audio asset in MPEG-2 Audio Layer III (MP3) format.

The remaining quota (the remaining number of requests available
to the user this calendar month).

Contains an arbitrary serialized message along with a @type that describes the type of the serialized message.

This resource represents a long-running operation that is the result of a
network API call.

If the value is `false`, it means the operation is still in progress.
If `true`, the operation is completed, and either `error` or `response` is
available.

The server-assigned path, which is only unique within the same service that
originally returns it. If you use the default HTTP mapping, the
`path` should be a resource path ending with `operations/{unique_id}`.

The `Status` type defines a logical error model that is suitable for different programming environments, including REST APIs and RPC APIs. It is used by [gRPC](https://github.com/grpc). Each `Status` message contains three pieces of data: error code, error message, and error details. You can find out more about this error model and how to work with it in the [API Design Guide](https://cloud.google.com/apis/design/errors).

The status code, which should be an enum value of [google.rpc.Code][google.rpc.Code].

A list of messages that carry the error details. There is a common set of message types for APIs to use.

A developer-facing error message, which should be in English. Any user-facing error message should be localized and sent in the [google.rpc.Status.details][google.rpc.Status.details] field, or localized by the client.

Contains the text to be translated, the source language (optional), and a
list of target languages for translation.

The IETF BCP-47 language code representing the language of the
input text.

If not provided, the system automatically detects the
source language.

Supported language codes include:

- English (en-us)
- French (fr-fr)
- Vietnamese (vi-vn)
- Thai (th-th)
- Turkish (tr-tr)
- Russian (ru-ru)
- Spanish (es-es)

- Japanese (ja-jp)
- Chinese Simplified (zh-cn)
- Chinese Traditional (zh-tw)
- German (de-de)
- Polish (pl-pl)
- Italian (it-it)
- Indonesian (id-id)

Contains the detected or specified source language code and a map of
requested translations, where each key is a language code and the value is
the translated text.

The IETF BCP-47 language code representing the detected or user-specified
language of the source text.

A configurable key that allows granular access to Roblox resources. See https://create.roblox.com/docs/cloud/auth/api-keys for more information.

x-api-key

A browser cookie that represents the identity of a Roblox user. DO NOT SHARE THIS. Sharing this will allow someone to log in as you and to steal your Robux and items. We do not recommend using cookies to call endpoints. When possible, use API keys with the x-api-key header or OAuth 2.0 instead for authentication.

.ROBLOSECURITY

Build or authorize apps to access Roblox resources. See https://create.roblox.com/docs/cloud/auth/oauth2-overview for more information.

The Roblox API. See https://create.roblox.com/docs/cloud/open-cloud for more details.

Roblox API

Generates an English speech audio asset from the specified text.

This endpoint requires the `asset:read` and `asset:write` scopes in
addition to the `universe:write` scope.

The response returns an `Operation` object that must be prefixed with
`/assets/v1`. For example, the URL to discover the result of the operation
could be
`https://apis.roblox.com/assets/v1/operations/8b42ef30-9c17-4526-b8cf-2ff0136ca94d`.

This method is asynchronous and returns an `Operation`, which represents the current state of the operation. It contains an endpoint path that you can poll to obtain the real response and applicable metadata. See the [documentation]({longRunningOperationsLink}) on long-running operations for more information.

The following sections describe the response and metadata objects that are provided when an operation completes.

Beta endpoints are ready for public use. Breaking changes are possible but rare.

These Open Cloud documentation pages will be removed on March 31, 2026. You will be automatically redirected to the new Open Cloud documentation at that time. {linkStart}Learn more{linkEnd}

Experimental endpoints are ready for public use, but may experience breaking changes occasionally as the API contract is finalized.

This endpoint can be called in-experience through {httpServiceLinkStart}HttpService{httpServiceLinkEnd} with an API key.

Legacy authentication method. Always prefer using API Key or OAuth 2.0 when available.

Per API Key: {maxInPeriod} requests every {periodInSeconds} seconds per IP Address

Requires no authentication to call. Typically has significantly lowered rate limits. Always prefer using API Key or OAuth 2.0 when available.

For each grouping, only one of the following fields in the schema has to be provided, the remaining can be excluded.

Scopes control what permissions your credentials have. Your credentials can only access the endpoints supported by the scopes you selected.

Stable endpoints are production-ready and will almost never experience breaking changes during their lifetime.

This target enables you to limit your key's access to selected {requiredParts}

This target enables you to limit your key's access to selected {requiredParts} and {optionalParts}

Target types are used to restrict the resources that your credentials have permissions on. Only the selected resources can be acted on even if your account has permissions on additional resources. Some scopes do not have target parts. In these cases, all of your relevant resources can be acted on.

The universe Top Level Part does not need to be selected for user-owned API Keys. In this case, your API Key will have access to all of your user-owned experiences and group-owned experiences that you have the right group permissions on.

Try It Out is not yet supported for endpoints requiring API key or OAuth 2.0 authentication

Cookie authentication is disabled for high risk operations for safety.

Critical risk endpoints are extremely sensitive and Try It Out is disabled for safety

Note: Authentication headers are not included in this code sample. You may need to add an authentication header for this command to work.

This is a high risk endpoint that can modify or delete critical data. Use extreme caution when testing.

This API endpoint has been classified as HIGH RISK and may affect live data or user accounts.

Authenticated requests to high-risk APIs can make changes that cannot be undone. Please review your request parameters carefully before proceeding.

Please login to use cookie authentication

This is a low risk endpoint that retrieves data. This is generally safe to test.

This is a medium risk endpoint that modifies data. Test carefully with non-critical accounts, as changes may be permanent.

To keep your account safe, never paste text here from other sources or send information from this page to others.

You are about to test live API endpoints using your actual account credentials.
