The Build Rig plugin allows you to insert pre-built character rigs for animation purposes. A rig is an object with individual sections connected by joints. After inserting a pre-built rig, you can use the Animation Editor to move and animate individual sections of the rig through their joints.
R15 pre-built rig
For information on how to create and import custom rigs, see Rigging.
There are two types of rigs you can insert in Studio: R6 and R15. A R6 rig is a model made up of 6 mesh objects while a R15 rig is a model with 15 mesh objects, significantly expanding the R6's limited motion range.
For a comprehensive list of the body parts that are connected by these joints for each rig type, refer to the following table:
There are four subtypes of R6 pre-built rigs: Block, Mesh, Man, and Woman. While their physical appearance differs, they all have six joints.
There are six subtypes of R15 pre-built rigs: Block, Mesh, Man, Woman, Rthro Normal, and Rthro Slender. Similar to R6, while their physical appearance differs, they all have 15 joints.
